News Archive:
The following notes have been summarised from the
days when we used to have a "news section" that we could regularly update.
Due to the level of site traffic and associated communications we are no
longer able to keep this
updated to our
satisfaction. Therefore we focus our news page now on news about the website
(unless there is something "hot" in which case we will mention it is "Stop
Press". We just list here items that we still consider news worthy.
New European
health cards are now being issued - if you're planning a holiday in
France (or elsewhere in Europe), it is critical that you are aware of
changes in 2005 to this often mis-understood bi-lateral health agreement.
Our March 2005 newsletter contains a lot of helpful information.
Entertaining
your kids on holiday - here is a fantastic new book called "Bonjour
France" aimed for 7-12 year olds. We've been sent an advanced copy and can
heartily recommend it. It's full of puzzles, games, quizzes.....all
intertwined with a French flavour and a bit of vocab! The RRP is £9.99,
however if you order online you can get it for £7.99 plus P+P. Better still,
if you use the code "f4f" when you are prompted for a Redemption Code, you
can get a further £1 off - only available for France For Families
viewers! We're not
sure if this discount still works.
Looking for a
holiday with a difference? If your family like the great outdoors then why
not take an activity holiday with a company like www.country-kids.fr?
They offer a variety of activity holidays in the foothills of the Pyrénées
and are very friendly!
BBC Travel
Service - we're not sure how new this is but we came across it recently
- the BBC have an excellent online travel news service which covers not only
UK roads but also train, sea and air, with updated information on travel
problems that may affect your journey to France.
Vive La France
exhibition - every January at Olympia.
If there's
anything else you think news worthy that could be added here, please let us
have your feedback.
