Nord Pas de Calais Attractions  This area of France gets rushed past by hordes heading south, but has some gems that can be enjoyed both  for a holiday close to home, as well as day trips to experience French culture rather than having a booze cruise!  Plan a day trip well and there will be time not only to stock up on wine and spirits, but also to visit a local attraction such as Nausicaa or La Coupole and then top the day off with a meal in a French restaurant!

Boat on the lake at EurolacPartially accessibleEurolac miniature park:

Location: Take exit 2 from the A26 and follow the direction of Ardres on the N43.  In the centre of Ardres follow the signs for “Les Lacs” and “Eurolac”.   Eurolac is situated 400 metres after "la Frégate".
General Info: Website.  Tel: 03 21 35 13 91.

Description: This is a park with a difference, based around the lake at Ardres.  You purchase a book of “tickets”, different numbers of the tickets are required for each attraction.  The highlight are the electric boats.
Our recommendations:  It’s best value to buy the Passe Journée for €10 as this will allow unlimited use of all the attractions.
For the children:  Aimed at the younger voyager, although you must be 9 years old to pilot the boats on your own.
