Perhaps not an obvious choice for a family holiday, however there are some splendid family attractions in Paris such as Disneyland Resort Paris, Park Asterix and the Provins World Heritage town.  When coupled with some of the more traditional destinations such as the boating on the River Seine or a visit to the Château de Versailles, there is the prospect of a truly enchanting holiday for everyone.

Although we've never taken the whole family to Paris, several of us have travelled there ourselves as children and three of our children have done French exchanges there.  Also we were lucky enough to have a weekend away there without the children not so long ago!  The following advice is therefore based on a combination of opinions....if you'd like to propose anything else, then please let us have your feedback.  Thanks.

1. Parc Asterix.  A super theme park with a distinctly French flavour.

2. Provins World Heritage Town.  This is a medieval town (see left) with fascinating displays and hands on activities.  Birds of prey and other exhibitions.

4. Cité des Sciences.  Lots of hands on scientific exhibits.

5. Eiffel Tower (pictured right).  Great fun to climb for an excellent view of the city.
