Charente Vendee Attractions  This area of France has a rich variety of attractions for the holidaymaker.  Of course the miles of sandy beaches draw the crowds year after year, but there are some delightful towns and villages as well, plus vineyards aplenty with the added benefit of the home of Cognac and the local speciality Pineau. Also you will find splendid theme parks such as le Puy du Fou or Futuroscope, as well as idyllic islands, fascinating geographical features....

Description: This is the best tree top adventure course we've ever come across in France offering not only 17 different tree top trails of differing difficulty, but also paint ball, climbing walls, bungy jumping, pony rides, zip line, nature trails and much more besides.
Our recommendations:
You really can take all the family here.  Even mum and dad can enjoy the tree top assault courses, although you do need a bit of a head for heights and you shouldn't underestimate the challenge.  One of our party was an over-confident parent and needed rescuing half way round one of the more challenging trails...not a very dignified experience.  Needless to say our 12 year old and 22 year old didn't have any problems.  Just dad!
Although parts of this attraction are accesible, there's not really much point going there if you have mobility problemsFor the children: There's plenty of entertainment here even for younger children.  They will love the bungy jump (made for youngsters) and the pony rides and and and...

Stay a night in La Cahute Nichée....

Why not spend a night in the trees in one of their very well equipped tree houses!  It's €322 for a family of 4 for a weekend.  Petit déjeuner (breakfast) is included.  You get a 10% discount of the activities.  We think this would be a great way to extend a longer holiday in the area and you wouldn't need to leave the site for your entertainment.  Visit the dedicated Cahute Nichée website for more information.
